Brrrrrr.... This Wintery weather is very cold isn't it, and it is not even Wintertime yet! I have a little multi coloured beanie that I place over my head at night. But really it is not a " little" beanie because I have a big teddy head! It is more that I have big ears, but my explanation is that I need big ears because I need to keep hearing all that is being said that I can provide a caring listening ear to anyone who would like to talk to me. I need big ears because the words that they say need to fit into my ears! The longer the conversation , the bigger my ears need to be! Anyway, I put the beanie onto my head and it keeps me, my head and my ears very cosy and warm!
Do you know what ? I know that you don't know but I am really do know that you would like to know , so I will now tell you so that you know what I know! You know? Oh, I've forgotten after all those use of the word" know" what I was going to tell you ! Perhaps I will remember later!
The other night, I decided to go and watch the local teddy footy team doing their training. I took some snowballs from the Kiosk with me to give to them because I thought they might be a bit hungry after training. Snowballs look a bit like footballs, and it felt sooooo cold that the coconut on the snowballs of course reminded me of snowy cold weather. They are very fit young footballing teddies you know! They look very happy as they do "paw balling" and "paw kicking" and leap up in the air to take marks. Anyway, Mr. Twhippy had set up his ice cream van outside the football ground. Just in case you are wondering, Mr. Twhippy is the teddy bear run version of Mr. Whippy ice cream van! These vans play the Teddies Bear Picnic song as they travel from one area to the next . It is a happy recognisable cheery tune! Please don't worry that Mr. Twhippy will be sued for copyright violation by Mr. Whippy! They came to a gentle men's and teddy bear 's handshake agreement that they would both happily keep their trading name just as long as one kept to selling ice creams to only teddies and the other to selling ice creams to people who are not teddies. They then keep their certain type of customers and everyone is very happy! I bought a hot jam donut also from the van! It tasted very, very yummy and delicious! Of course, I bit in one side of the donut and it was so hot that the jam burst out the other side of the donut and landed on my teddy fur! It was such a sticky jammy mess! But.... it was worth it for the delicious donut taste! And... unlike the AFL you don't need to be a millionaire to afford the food at the footy! It costs quite cheap, in fact very cheap because teddies don't have pockets so they can't pay for food so the food costs nothing! Quite good value I think, don't you? !
Anyway, I cheered on the teddy girls and guys as they did their footy training. I got a bit husky so decided to come home to the Kiosk. I needed to warm my teddy tummy up inside because I was feeling chilly , so the best thing to do was to make myself a cup of soup from the Kiosk shelf!
I had better say goodbye for now because it is time for me put my beanie on and have a little quiet snooze!
Until next time,
Go the teddies footy team! Premiers this year!( I hope!)
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath.
