My teddy friends and I enjoy going fishing. I hang up an invisible sign on the Kiosk door that says: "Gone Fishing! I'll be back soon!" and off I go with my teddy mates. We always take our fishing rods, and of course a big chest filled to the brim with multi-grain bread cheese and tomato sandwiches, some carrot or sultana or banana cake, and whatever fruits are in season. And of course a thermos of hot tea, and some cups or mugs to pour it into. We go prepared because fishing is a hungry and thirsty thing to do you know! Anyway, we always park the bearmobile, leap out of the car and all take one side of the food/drink chest and carry it to the fishing pier. Then, we get out our fishing rods, dangle our leg paws over the side of the pier and throw the fishing rod into the water. And…just hope that no fish bites!! Yes, that is right, we don't really want to catch any fish, we just like fishing because we like to do lots of talking and chatting and resting and just being with our friends as we dangle our teddy paws over the pier's edge. Anyway, with the noise we all make with our talking and laughing, we probably frighten the fish away! In fact, I don't really know what we would do if indeed a fish decided to bite the fishing line! I am not even going to think about it because it makes me feel quite shivery thinking of having a live fish jumping about on my fishing line! And as far as bringing it home to cook…no!! just thought of it makes me quite scared!! But after we have finished our fishing expedition, we do have a meal that fits in VERY well with the theme of our trip…we always go and get some cooked fish and chips from the nearby fish and chip shop and eat it out of the white paper that they are wrapped in, as we skip along the pathway. Fishing is indeed great fun…just as long as we don’t catch any fish!
