Do you like ice cream? I definitely, truly, completely and utterly do like it! I have soooo many favourite flavours of ice cream! Oh, is that okay to have lots of favourites? Because, a favourite is just meant to be the one that is the utmost best! And I have lots of utmost bests! I suppose though that it is quite acceptable to have a "favourite favourite " and a second favourite and a third favourite... and perhaps even a hundredth favourite! ( Hmmm.... I might find it hard to think of one hundred ice cream flavours ! But, if I was on a quiz show and I was asked to list one hundred different flavours to win one million dollars, I think that I would be able to do it! But I don't really want to win one million dollars, because I haven't got any pockets to place the money in! I could perhaps "stash" it behind the shortbread cream biscuits on the Kiosk shelves , but now that I have told you this, everyone who reads this letter will know where I would put the money if I did win the quiz show, and they might come and steal it! Not the goodies people, just the baddies people might come ! But... if you are in the Kiosk anytime, it might be worth keeping your eyes out that no one is looking suspicious near the biscuits shelf trying to discover any hidden money!)
Anyway, I do like ice creams! One flavour that I like is choc chip. Some people think that it might taste like the potato chips that you put in the oven to cook or like French fries... and be chocolate flavoured! Hmm... a scoop of chocolate potato chip flavoured ice cream doesn't sound too nice to me! It would be a little bit oily and greasy! No, I like choc chip ice cream with little chips of chocolate in the ice cream! My friend Brenda the Bubblegum eating teddy likes a particular flavour of ice cream. You will never, ever guess what her most favoured variety is? Can you guess? You answered correctly ! Her favourite ice cream flavour is vanilla! Her second favourite is the bubblegum variety, sprinkled with hundreds and thousands, topped with nuts , and then one single cherry on top! Brenda insists on just one cherry there because she likes the plainer variety of foods.
Another teddy friend of mine called Peter has quite a different favourite ice cream! He likes..... Pepper ice cream! I have never tried it because once Peter kindly scooped out a serving of his pepper ice cream for me to try and put it in a bowl for me to taste test. Well, as soon as I got near the ice cream, my teddy nose started to twitch, and wriggle, and twitter and jump about, and the next thing I knew, my teddy nose exploded with a GIGANTIC big sneeze that caused me to land quite unelegantly onto the floor and the peppery ice cream didn't survive staying in my bowl either! I decided after that mishap to tactfully and diplomatically decline any more kind ice cream offers from Peter!
Strawberry, boysenberry and raspberry flavoured ice creams are always yummy! They make me feel very summery when I eat them! I used to like picking berries at Bertie Bear's Berries farm! And I am a completely honest teddy, and I did NOT sneak and eat any berries whilst I was picking them! I just popped them into my berry bucket then took them up to Bertie to get weighed. Then, I would be given a jar of delicious berry jam to bring home with me to spread on toast,or on bread and butter or to have with scones! Of course, I must also advertise that the Kiosk sells nice varieties of jams too! It is just that I have happy teddy childhood memories of visiting Bertie's berry farm !
Well, I best go and have some nice ice cream now! I wonder what flavour to choose to eat today?
Until next time,
I scream, You scream, We all scream ice cream!
Your friend, Kiosk Ted Strath
