Have
you ever tried chasing butterflies?? It is very tiring, you know!! But
butterflies are soooo very pretty! When
I see these very colourful butterflies flutter by, I jump up onto my teddy paws
as quick as you can say:"Beautful Butterflies Beckon Bears Bounding
Bumpity-Bump along " , and rush after them! Please don't worry though,
because I do NOT wish to catch them! No!
No! I just want them to land on my teddy
nose! I think that they would tickle my nose and make me giggle! And… my teddy
eyes may even turn cross eyed when I try to see
the butterfly, and then Petra the Photographer Teddy would take my photo
using her camera and I could get it blown up big( It is okay, I don't
really have a gun so I don't want to
blow anything or anyone up! I just would like an enlarged photo of me with a
butterfly on my nose!)
Oh! Suddenly
I feel very, very sad. I think I may cry a little teddy tear. Is it okay if I
tell you why I am feeling a little sad right this minute? I think you might be
a caring reader that would understand how I feel so I will tell you. I have
just remembered that butterflies only live for just a few hours! It is very sad
that their life is such a short time. Oh! I have just had the most bestest thought!
Butterflies must just have only a little life span because every single second
they can radiate beautiful colours!! To think that they spend every second of
their life shining out colourful sights to us makes very, very happy! I don't
feel sad anymore! Hello Miss Buttterfly! Hello Mr. Butterfly! It is very nice
to meet you!
But… I do start to huff and puff with my
breath when I chase after the butterflies! I am a fit teddy though! I do hippity-hoppity-hip-hop-hip jumps every
morning! (It is the latest trendiest exercise steps!) You hip and you hop and
you… almost turn into a frog!! No! I don't want to turn into a frog! I would
not like to be coloured green! It is not that I don't like the colour green; it
is just that it doesn't match my eyes. Brown fur matches brown or black eyes
much better than green fur. But… one day
Patrick the Painting teddy did accidentally fall off a ladder when he was up on
the roof of his house doing some painting and fell straight into a big bucket
of green paint! You may be wondering why Patrick was on the roof, using green
paint? Well, it does have a logical reason. He was painting the roof gutters
green. This meant that if they got blocked up with leaves and dirt, the gutters
would just blend in with the surroundings. It makes a lot of sense don't you
think! Anyway, Patrick fell into the paint and had a greenstick fracture in his
leg. It is quite unusual for teddies to
experience such a fracture because we don't have bones! But… teddy doctor
diagnosed the greenstick fracture and he is a very highly intelligent teddy
with a lot of medical science degree behind his name. It was a greenstick fracture because he fell
into a bucket of green paint I suppose? The main thing was that Patrick didn't break
his leg altogether. Anyway, his fur was covered in green paint and he had to
have a shower to get the paint off, but
it took many days for him to be completely "green-less". (In
fact, if you happen to look behind Patrick's left ear today, you might still
find a spot of green paint still there! But I suppose that you usually would
only be looking at his ear if you were wanting to whisper something to him!)
I eat
Uncle Toby's Cereal every day, which gives me the energy to run after
butterflies! Did you know that the Kiosk sells a variety of different types? I
have a rotation system… I eat a different type of cereal or oats every day! I
don't have an uncle called Toby though! The only Toby that I know is Toby the
toasting teddy. He is such a very clever teddy! He really likes toasting bread
to make toast! And… he can make the bread the ideal colour brown that you want
it to be! You just order the bread: "light brown" or
"golden" or "blackish" or " medium sunnyside
brown" and he will toast it to your
desired toast texture perfection!
Well,
I must have a little nap now so that I am ready to go looking out for little
butterflies tomorrow! I would not want to miss a second of their pretty and
colourfully patterned life!
Until next time,
Have fun running after
butterflies outside or if you are unable to do that, enjoy looking through
glass windows at butterflies! You get a good dose of Vitamin D that way too!
Your friend, Kiosk-Ted
Strath.
