Ouch! Ouch! I feel sooo sore!! I don't want to complain but I am not feeling very "tip-top" at the moment! Would you like to know why? I don't want to tell you my problems, but  you are reading this teddy adventures of mine so I am sure that you wouldn't mind spending a few minutes listening to my ouchiness causes would you? No, I didn't think you would mind, so I will now tell you why I am soo sore!!

My friend Barnie the Bee keeper bear came to visit me the other day, and said that he would enjoy having me visit his home and showing me how he collects the honey from the bee hives. Barnie was so excited in offering to show me, and he had an expectantly happy look on his face as he awaited my answer, so of course I had to say:"Yes, I would like to do that!" Barnie clapped his paws with glee, and he told me that he would  come and pick me up on his special yellow and black striped car the next day.  That night, I was looking at all the different bottles and jars of honey that the Kiosk sells. There are squeezable tubes, creamed honey, upside down honey containers too, and they all look great. I started to feel just a tiny bit apprehensive of going near the bee hives, but I trusted that Barnie would take good care of me. I decided to have a nice honey sandwich for supper that evening… but unfortunately I had a not-so-nice nightmare that night of an angry bee that kept circling my head, and making a loud non-stop buzzing noise! I woke up with the start, and was very glad that it was just a dream!! I gave my teddy bear head a bit of a "shake, rattle, and roll" to try to get the dream out of my head, and then told my teddy self, "everything is going to bee great, bee fun, bee happy  and bee interesting", so I didn't need tt worry at all. And with that thought it my mind, I drizzled a hugely big portion of honey on to my toast for breakfast, and got ready for Barnie to arrive. I heard a friendly  "toot toot" and when I looked out through the window, I saw Barnie had arrived, all dressed up wearing a yellow hat and a black teddy t-shirt. He skipped along the pathway to the Kiosk, and as quick as a flash we were off to Barnie's home.

After catching up on all the latest teddy news, Barnie said it was the right time to head to the hives and get the honey. He gave me a special "bee keeping uniform" to put on, which would protect me as I neared the hives. It had a hat and a suit that covered my paws.  Barnie and I neared the hives, and he started to get the honey out…when all of a sudden I took one step forward and …it was a very false step I took because I just happened to stand on a banana skin! I went for a huge slide, the uniform slipped off and the next thing I knew was that I was invaded by a very unhappy horde of bees that descended onto me!! It was an attack of the bees on a poor defenceless little teddy! I thought that everyone liked teddies…hmm.. . I now have discovered that everyone BUT bees likes teddies!! Barnie grabbed my paws, got me up onto my feet and we ran and ran  just as fast as our little teddy feet could move our bodies  and headed straight for  the safe haven of the inside of his home! Puffing and panting… I made it there, and flopped into a very comfy sofa seat!! Barnie grabbed lots and lots of cold flannels to put on my poor teddy face and body, and it helped to soothe all my bee bites. Barnie was so very, very apologetic about the banana skin! Apparently, Barnie's little nephew Billy had been visiting the day before and bananas are his favourite fruit to eat. He didn't realise that Billy had left the skin on the ground near the hives!

After a little while, Barnie took me home to the Kiosk, and I decided to try to have a little nap to help me to forget the pain from the bee bites. Just before settling into my comfy chair, I decided to have another honey sandwich because being attacked by the bees would NOT stop me from enjoying  eating honey!! The nap helped for a little while, but the pain of the bites still came back when I woke up! Sooo… I now just have to beee patient, beee brave and beee  a little stoic teddy and just let the healing continue!

I would advise you to come and buy your honey at the Kiosk! It is a much safer and less painful way of getting delicious homey!!

Until next time,

Beware of angry bees and don't slip on a banana skin!!
