Ouchity-ouch! I am a little sore teddy today! I don't want to complain but... I am going to moan just a teensy bit because I do feel a bit sore and I will tell you a little secret! Just a small tiny secret that really isn't a secret but I am calling it a secret even though by law it is not a secret but secretly it might be a secret....well after all that secret talking I think I don't feel as painful so perhaps I will just keep my secret to myself! Because, once you say a secret, it is no longer a secret!
Talking about secrets, my teddy friend Mr. Oliver was telling me a secret the other day. He told me to " keep it under my hat". This statement has been quite concerning to me, because I don't wear a hat! You could class the tea cosy that I wear on my head over Winter to keep my head warm a hat, but it really isn't one. And... how do I literally actually pick up a secret , hold it in my hands, place it on the top of my head and then put a hat over it?! Do you think that the secret would be smooth and soft, or would it heavy in weight or would it have a jagged edge, or would it be feather weight, or would it be colourful ? So many, many questions but no answers! I decided to text Mr. Oliver these questions, and see if he could answer them! I got a text back, and in it was the words that he just "rolled his eyes up in the air"! That made me extra worried for two reasons! Firstly, I was quite concerned that if he rolled his eyes, they may roll right off his face and also I have never ever seen a teddy blink or move his or her eyes so I don't know how he could have moved his eyes! Sometimes life can be so confusing can't it?!
You may be very kind and wondering why I was so painful at the start of this letter to you? I am sure you are caring about my teddy health, so I will tell you why I am painful. I feel quite proud of why I am painful! In fact, my teddy chest is a bit puffed out with pride in the knowledge that I am a responsible Kiosk Teddy! I have just had my annual teddy flu and pneumonia injection! I had the injection because I definitely do not want to pass any germs onto any of the Kiosk Helpers or customers who are in the Kiosk! I take my role as Kiosk Ted very seriously! The injection stops me from catching any of the teddy strain of flu or pneumonia viruses! I am not quite sure if humans can "catch" teddy flu, but I am not taking any chances that I could affect your health! But...the injection hurt my arm! Teddy Doctor said I was sooooooooo ( even more oooo's than usual!) brave, and he gave me a green, a red, and a purple jelly bean! I think that was quite kind of him! I didn't eat the colourful jelly beans all at the same time though. I ate one each hour on the hour. My tongue was quite colourful!
Teddy doctor is a funny cheery doctor! When he takes our blood pressure or pulse rate , he doesn't listen for heart beats, he instead listens to see if we like classical , disco, jazz or hip hop music, because he is adamant that he can hear the music in the beats using his stethoscope ! He wears a white doctor's coat with a big red cross on it. This clothing is because he was born in Switzerland, and he sometimes gets a little homesick. The cross coloured red reminds him of his homeland, which makes him feel better. It is funny, because a doctor would have to prescribe himself his own medicine if he was " home sick"!
Well, I had best have a little nap and that may take away my arm pain.
Until next time,
If you see a flu germ heading your way, jump up onto your feet and scurry away in the opposite direction!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath.
