I have had the most fantastical, wonderful, splendid and quite nice day! My teddy friend, Pablo the Postman teddy, invited me to go on his teddy letters delivering round! It was soooooo exciting! I jumped on the back of his bearmobile motorbike, held on tight, and off we went! My teddy scarf blew in the wind! The rev of the motor bike was quite harmonious! It would not have been the first choice for a bedtime lullaby to send little Bessie baby bear to sleep though! Pablo had to shout very loud to me to make himself heard over the top of the noise! Pablo and myself both wore bright yellow overalls, to make ourselves seen as we went from one mail box to another. Teddies don't need to put stamps on their envelopes, because teddy posties don't get paid. That means there is no need to collect money for their wages! It is a hugely prestigious position to be a teddy postie, so that is a very grand reward. When you think about it, you are trusting your special letters that you have written will be delivered safely and securely, so it is a huge responsibility! Oh... I felt very honoured to be allowed to participate for a day!
But... there are definitely drawbacks to being a postie! The biggest one is...dogs! Yes, teddies and dogs don't always get on very well! Dogs can sometimes try to bite teddies! Ouchity ouch! Other dogs are very friendly dogs and can be a bit over friendly with teddies as they try to hug them and in the process squishy squash them! Also, the barks from dogs can often be quite loud and frightening to us teddies!
Another drawback is that posties must deliver mail whatever the weather! In fact, I noticed marks on the Pablo's overalls, and when I asked him what caused it, he explained that it was when big golf ball size hail stones hit him when delivering letter! That would have been very painful! It is okay in stormy weather though, because teddies aren't afraid of lightning and thunder, which means that if you get scared when a storm appears, what you need to do is to say hello to your own teddy and he or she will look after you. They will take care of you as you hug the teddy .( but don't hug them so much that they gasp for breath! That is not too good! On the other hand, if you are scared well then teddies would gladly give up a few breaths of air to be a comfort for you! )
Well, one of the best things of the day was when we got back to the Teddy Postal Depot and were able to eat the food that the postal company supplies for their posties! We were able to eat tim tams, shortbread creams, snow drops, jam tarts and we could even have bowls of breakfast cereal if we wanted too! It was great that everything that was supplied there,is also readily available at the Strathalan Kiosk! Oh, and also we were able to have a nice cup of tea! Yummy and nice!
Well, I had best be off now and read my own letters! Until next time, Enjoy reading your letters and give Pablo the postie teddy a little wave if you see him on his bearmobile motor bike delivering mail!
  Your friend, Kiosk Ted Strath
