I had the most fantastically colourful day yesterday!! I really did you know! My teddy friend, Flora the Florist came to visit me and she brought with her bunches and bunches of all sorts of flowers! There were lots and lots of different shades of colours of the flowers. When she appeared it was like there a huge flood of perfumed air that invaded where I was standing! She came to visit me at the Kiosk but she didn't bring the flowers indoors, because she didn’t want to cause anyone to get hay fever from the nice scent of the flowers. I have always wondered why people say that they have hay fever when they live in a city suburb and not on a farm ? I thought that you needed to live on a farm and have horses if you have hay. I don't think that there are very many horses that live inside homes! I can just imagine someone getting up in the morning, and all of a sudden a horse appeared in their kitchen wanting to eat a crisp apple for breakfast! Most city or suburb living people don't have any use for hay, but they still often get hay fever and they definitely feel quite sneezy whether they are near hay or not!

Flora brought some bright yellow bunches of daffodils with her. They seemed to be "trumpeting" a happy tune to brighten our day! Wouldn't' it be fun if all flowers could play music or sing! Daffodils could trumpet, roses could play the harp as their petals softly fluttered gently to the ground, pansies could sing happily as their happy pretty faces waved about in the wind, bluebells could "chime" and "ring"  harmoniously and melodically, tulips could become their name and use tu(2)-lips to sings happy , cheery songs, and colourful carnations could become like "car-nations" and "toot" a nice tune with their horn !

My friend Hestererina the Hankie liking teddy was a little bit upset the other day! She told me the reason. She likes using hankies…but she keeps losing her favourite hankies! She keeps searching for them everywhere, but they can't be found. Hesterina and I put our little teddy brains together and tried very hard to think about where the missing hankies could be?! It then hit us like a big red delicious apple falling off the branch and hitting us on the head! (Isn't it nice to sit under a tree on a sunshiney day and enjoy the shade of the tree?!) Well, Hesterina likes wearing jackets with pockets in them! Her latest jacket does NOT have any pockets in them, and she keeps forgetting that important fact! She puts her hankies into her "invisible" pocket…and of course it disappears onto the ground "never to be seen again"!

Would you like to know why Flora came to visit me with so many nice bunches of flowers?! I will tell you because I know that you would be eager to know…and I am very eager to tell you too! It was "T. F.P. Day", otherwise known as "Teddy Flower Power Day"!! On this day, every teddy picks a little posy of flowers from their own garden that they have grown themselves and delivers it to someone else's house! Then everyone puts them in a little glass vase on their kitchen window sill, and the sunlight comes through the kitchen window and it is a nice reminder of friendships and sunny thoughts! I have a lovely image in my mind of lots and lots of teddy homes with freshly picked garden-grown posies of flowers on their kitchen window sill right around the country!! It sounds nice doesn't it?!! But…sometimes teddies don't have their own garden to grow flowers…and they think that they will miss out on giving a little posy to someone else. Flora teddy to the rescue!! She had made up lots and lots of posies of flowers that she has grown in HER OWN backyard garden, and spent the day distributing it to these teddies so as they could go and deliver a posy to a friend's home. The flowers are still home backyard grown, but in this instance it is Flora's backyard. Flora just popped in to see me for a quick cuppa of tea to get her posy delivery strength back again and a nice munch of some tim tams off the Kiosk shelves!

Well, I better go and have a little nap now. I'm feeling a little bit tired. I think that I will dream pleasant dreams of gardens of rows and rows and rows of flowers…zzzzzz.

  Until next time,

Enjoy the beauty of a garden grown flower!  So very colourful and perfumed!

     Your friend, Mr. Kiosk-Ted Strath

                       Also simply known as "Ted"!!
