Ouchy
ouchity ouch! I am soooo sore !! I am bruised all over I think! It was all the
result of a mishap associated with my daily shower. I sooo much enjoy singing
in the shower! I may not have the perfect pitch of singing tone ( although when
I was younger, I was invited to audition for the Australian Teddies youth
choir! What an honour! Talent scouts had heard me singing
" happy birthday" to little Beth the
Birthday girl teddy at the Annual Teddy Bears picnic. They said that my voice
had great potential . It was all so very exciting! But... sadly on the day of
the audition, I developed an awful sore throat and I lost my voice! I searched here, I searched there, I searched everywhere,
but my voice just didn't reappear! Anyway, I couldn't even sing a note! It was
quite disappointing but I just couldn't audition, and so missed out on the
chance to join the choir. But on the up side, my special friend Clara the
choralling teddy took my spot and she has gone from strength to singing
strength in her singing career! Perhaps you may have heard of her ? She is a
very friendly teddy. Her songs are regularly in the top ten most downloaded
tunes on the i-bears tunes store on the web. Teddies just really enjoy
downloading teddy tunes! We have a internet
music store set up just for bears !
Anyway, I was singing cheerfully under the
shower,( you may even hear me if you happen to be passing by the Kiosk early in
the morning! If you do hear a teddy
singing, please feel free to start singing too! I won't mind. We could just
sing in unison and create a mini choral performance! Often birds join me and
warble harmoniously !) ... when all of a sudden... I had a bar of Johnson's
baby soap in my hand, and the next thing that I knew was that it had slipped out
of my hand and fallen on the floor. Then, my teddy feet stepped onto the baby
soap and I went for a slippery slide on it , tipsy-topsy-turvied and landed
quite inelegantly onto the floor with a lot of pain in my teddy body! Ouch!! I
am quite amazed that it could happen with baby soap. It would very much hurt a
baby if they slid on the soap wouldn't it? I wonder why the makers of the soap
decided to make it so slippery ? Hmm... I also have also wondered how Palmolive
Gold got it's name? Is it gold because Kings and Queens use it when they have a
bath or shower ? Did people from earlier
eras use this type of soap as a form of gold money to pay their bills? Perhaps
when their electricity bill arrived to be paid, they handed over soap bars as
forms of payment. Also, I always thought that Palmolive was a dish washing
liquid! I don't want to wash with a soap made of this type of liquid! I am a
teddy not a dinner plate ! And... if I
did decide to use Dove soap, would it mean that I would have a nice friendly
dove bird to come and sing me whilst I am under the shower?
Anyway, my shower came to quite an abrupt end
and I quickly made sure the shower taps
were turned off ( I would not want the Kiosk to be flooded! My row boat is in for maintenance at the
moment, because it has a hole in the bottom of it. It is not good to have a
boat in this state. So, I don't have a aquatic vehicle in which I could travel
around the Kiosk if the floor became an ocean of water from my shower!) I am now feeling quite achey ! But it will
pass... I would just like to say to Mr. Bruise, Mrs. Bruise and Miss Bruise
that I wish they would not hurt and just disappear very quickly!!
Well, I had better go and have a nice
relaxing shower now to soothe my aching muscles .... Perhaps I will go
soap-less today?!
Until next time,
Please be very alert if you use soap
when having a shower!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath.
