My teddy friends and I have just been to the theatre to watch a musical! We had such a happy fun time! The seats were royal red in colour and were very, very plush! We felt like royal teddies sitting on thrones! They were very comfortable seats! We were going to climb up the grand staircases that were either side of the theatre but... we were a tiny bit concerned that we find "fall up" the steps as we ascended and then there would be a thumpity-thump quick descent very quickly back to the ground level! Also, I am a little bit scared of heights ! And... also, I was a bit worried that if I all of a sudden got excited because of something that I saw in the musical and laughed and leant over the balcony to see more and applaud....well, the people below may suddenly have the unexpected visit of a teddy landing on their head! I did eat some nutrigrain for breakfast today, so the nuts and bolts that the cereal looks like would make me a bit heavier if I landed on their head! It was safer for us teddies to have ground floor seats! (Perhaps though we should have worn hard textured helmets on our head in case someone from the upper balconies fell on us instead! It would create quite a teddy headache and a big lumpy bump to have someone land on us!)
We went to see the musical called "Teddy times touring , travelling and tip toeing through Teddysville" It has had such great reviews! Charlotte the Critic teddy of all things theatrical even gave it the top award of three golden teddies! I was very impressed with that rating! I heard a whisper that it may even be nominated for the "Toscars", which is the teddy equivalent of the Oscars! Did you know that the statue that winner receives is in the shape of a ...butterfly ! Well, really it should have been in the shape of a teddy but there was such a lot of arguments about what the teddy statue would look like and who it would resemble, that it was thought that it would be best to have it in the shape of a butterfly!
I "raided " the Kiosk for snacks for my teddy friends and I to take with us to eat at interval time! I grabbed some kit kats, cherry ripes, dairy milk, mars bars and aero choc bars! I thought that was a good selection! Oh, I also brought some freddo frogs because I thought that they would add to the "happy hoppy time"! But... being very courteous and having good manners, we did NOT leave any chocolate wrappers on our seats or on the floor! We made sure that we put them in the bins!
At the end of the musical, I had sore teddy paws because I had clapped so much! But it was a good reason for them being sore! I feel sooo sorry for those lovely people that have arthritis in their hands. Did you know that teddies can't have arthritis in their hands? The reason for that is that they have paws instead!
Well, I had best be off for now. La-di-da .... as one of the songs in the musical sang!
Until next time,
Sing in your heart if you can't sing aloud!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
