"April Showers leads to May Flowers" ... except that doesn't happen in Australia because we are not in Spring, we are instead in Autumn! When I was a really, really little teddy, which was many, many moons ago, ( How funny that expression is! Anyone who has studied Astronomy knows that Earth only has one moon! And according to my teddy friend, Mr. Oliver, who has a degree from Oxford Teddy uni ( he was ducks of the class you know! It is true! He was even given a cute yellow rubber ducky to commemorate his achievement! He also said :" Quack! Quack! " when they presented him his award for being ducks of the class! Hmmmm... perhaps he was instead the dux? Oh well, ducks or dux, he is a touch bit whacky and quacky! ) Mr. Oliver reliably informed me that the moon is made of Kraft cheese! Yes, it's true! Kraft missed out on sponsoring the AFL footy, ( although they do supply cheese and Vegemite sandwiches for the players to enjoy eating at half time! The cheese and Vegemite sandwiches give the players energy for the rest of the match! ) so instead they are supplying cheese to coat the outer covering of the moon! )
Anyway what I was saying, when I was really little many cheesey moons ago, I could never understand why the US called Autumn "fall" ? I never fell down onto the floor on any Autumn days! I was extra very careful that I steadied myself when I got up because you have to be very cautious that the teddy blood pressure doesn't suddenly drop! Also, it would not be too nice if I broke my teddy hip! If I did that, how would I then be able to ride a hippopotamus?! I would need to ride a popotamus! That would be sooo funny! Anyway, I am definitely not going to"fall" down in "Fall" or in Autumn, or even in Summer! I do have teddy health insurance, so I am covered to stay in a private teddy hospital, but I don't really want to go there!
Well, I had best be off now to enjoy looking at some pretty and colourful Autumn leaves! Perhaps some will "fall" down onto my nose! I hope that the leaves don't tickle my nose!
Until next time,
Go dancing in the Autumn rain, standing on your tippy toes!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
