Yay! Yay! It's nearly the bestest of the year day! ( I am a poet... And I know it!) Well, it is the second best day of the year, because Christmas Day is the best! No, perhaps it is the third best day of the year, because the second best day of the year is "Sunshiney Day". I am really not sure what that day involves but I hear that it is a day when the sun shines all through the day, for twenty four hours! That would be soooo confusing though! You wouldn't know when to go to bed ! Perhaps people stay up the whole night dancing and eating cheese and tomato sandwiches ? I am not sure!
Anyway, the third best day of the year is nearly here, and I am soooo excited! September 9th is... Happy Teddy Bear's Day! Isn't that so very great! A day just for us teddies! I hope we get a few extra smiles, hugs and little hellos that day said to us! I am planning on attending a big teddy bears picnic that day with my teddy friends! So, if I happen to go BAWOL ( otherwise known as Bear absent with out leave) you do NOT need to call in the teddy private investigators with their magnifying glasses to try to find me!  I will just be at my picnic place! I do most profusely apologise in advance, but it is to be held this year in a very private top secret place, so of course I can not let slip the location to you. Last year, Wilemena the Whispering teddy unfortunately told Arnold, Agatha,  Arlene and Archie, the members of the Ants family, that she was attending the teddy bears picnic,( she was soooo excited, she explained to us later, that she just had to tell someone, and the Ants family were the nearest someones to tell!) , and the Ants family decided to become uninvited guests and gate crash our party!   They were not welcome! It is not that I have a particular aversion to the Ants family. They may be a quite nice, polite and courteous family, but we just did not want to have ants at our picnic! Oh, I do now feel a bit mean. Perhaps we shouldn't have asked them to leave our picnic? But on the other hand, little Beth the baby bear was enjoying a very delicious slice of bread and butter with thickly spread home made strawberry jam on the top of it... and the Ants family just came along, sat down beside her, and started to eat the corners of the bread slice that were still on her plate! That wasn't very nice of them, was it?!  But on the other hand, perhaps the Ants were just soooo hungry! Perhaps they hadn't been able to eat anything all day, because they had lost the key to the front door of their home, and couldn't get in to the kitchen to prepare a meal, and they were waiting all day for Leonardo the Locksmith to come with another key and lock for them? And perhaps Leonardo was late coming because his granddaughter was performing in a piano musical recital, and he is a very proud granddad, and his granddaughter did not take to the stage until the last 10 minutes of the concert. It would be very important to his little granddaughter to see her Papa watching her playing the piano! So, that would have made him late getting to the Ants family home with another key. But then, on the third hand, perhaps the Ants family just wanted to be like a teddy for a day and enjoy themselves at the picnic!
Well, I best be getting ready for the picnic! I think I will grab some of the items off the Kiosk shelves! ( please don't be concerned! I will restock them! The Kiosk will not need to pay for them, or be out of pocket! )
     Until next time,
I hope you have the most funnest, happiest, and quite nice Teddy Bear's Day!
         Your friend,

                 Kiosk Ted Strath
