I had such a very, very great Christmas Day lunch! It was soooo nice, delicious and tasty! I invited my teddy friends to share the meal and celebrate   the day with me, and we all in one accord came up with the grand decision that the meal was "yummy!" I do hope that we didn't cause too much disturbance with all our teddy chattering and singing! Yes, we all started singing Christmas carols at the top of our voices! Hmm... not all of my teddy friends have good singing voices either! They do try their best though at singing, and it doesn't matter what the sound is like because as long as we are making a noise and are happy having fun singing together, that is the main thing! Cathy the Chorister teddy has a lovely singing voice. She just sang a little bit bit louder than normal and overcame the off key voices of a few of the other teddies. But everyone's heart was into the singing, so we made a joyful tune!
Oh! But there was a HUGE problem at one stage in the day! We were all about to have a nice serving of Christmas pudding. None of us teddies like custard! I am not sure why, but we all very much prefer yoghurt on our Christmas pudding. So, we had all put yoghurt on our Christmas pudding servings, and the pudding was in our spoon and half way to our mouth when...little Timmy teddy said ooooooh! He didn't make much sense in what he was saying from then on! He was pointing at his neck, and was in a very agitated state! His mum teddy called Trixie teddy and his dad Thomas rushed to his side to find out what was the matter! Trixie grabbed a scarf, because she thought that little Timmy must have been cold because he kept pointing at his throat. But it was a very warm day, so I thought that his need to have a scarf on seemed just a touch odd!  Doctor teddy had kindly dropped into the Kiosk to extend his Christmas greetings to all of us teddies, and he happened to be there when all this was going on too. He rushed to grab some butter menthol boxes from off the Kiosk shelves, because he thought that Timmy must have a sore throat. But Timmy was trying to tell us that his neck wasn't cold and he didn't have a sore throat! The problem was... he had swallowed a coin that in the pudding! Yes, a five cent coin that had been cooked in the pudding had slipped down his throat! He was very concerned! He was quite alarmed at the thought of a coin travelling through his blood system. He started to cry, and that caused all of us teddies to cry as well, and we all rushed to comfort him! Bethany the Baking teddy was especially concerned because it was herself who had cooked such an otherwise delicious Christmas pudding! She felt soooo sorry for little Timmy! She apologised very profusely to him for causing such a problem by placing the coin in the pudding. We were all feeling quite sad, which is not very nice to feel that way on Christmas Day! Then all of a sudden, Bethany shouted out : "Yippee!"   (That woke up Sammy the snoozing teddy! ) She then exclaimed in a loud voice : " I didn't put any coins into the teddy's Christmas pudding this year! I did though put in hugely big sultanas! That is what must have got lodged in Timmy's throat!" We all shouted hooray! Timmy is only a little teddy, with a little mouth, a little throat, a little tongue and little lips, so if you combine that with a BIG sultana, the result is stuck fruit in his throat ! The panic was over! The fruit would not damage his throat. Everyone was happy again... except for little Timmy who was still feeling the after effects of the stuck sultana in his throat!
But....apart from that incident, we had a fun day! We pulled Christmas crackers so hard though that one time Charlie the Cracker pulling teddy became like a rocket ship and landed on the other side of the Kiosk!  And the jokes in the crackers were very corny! I do wonder why they don't think up better jokes! Jasmine the Joker teddy could think up much better jokes than the ones that are usually contained in crackers! She always makes us giggle with the jokes that she says. ( Even though every time I write giggle, my spell checker insists that I write Google! It is not funny! )
Well, I do hope that you had a very nice Christmastime. I wonder what adventures I will take part in next year ?? ...
    Until next time,
Party on up to midnight on December 31st!
              Your friend,

                         Kiosk Ted Strath
