Hello everyone ! I hope that you are having a very nice day! Or if you aren't having a good day, I hope that in the next few minutes your not so nice day turns into an okey dokey, quite pleasant, hooray, kind of day!
I went to the library the other day! Did you know that there are lots and lots and lots of books in a library! I think that the teddy library that I visited must have had a million billion books! And one! Not that I was able to count the number of books in the bookcase there! It would take me sooooo long to do that! And it would be awful if I was in the middle of counting the number of books, and then saw a big spider on the library wall which gave me a surprise, and I lost my place in counting the number of books! You will just need to agree with me that libraries contain a lot of books!
Bobbie and Belinda the bookworm teddies spend a lot of time at the library! In fact, one day they got left in the library whilst resting on the sofas there reading a book, and the librarians had locked all the doors! It was okay, please don't worry, they aren't still stuck there! They took a deep  breath in...then managed to exit through the after hours book chute!
They were so very surprised when one day they opened up a  book and found a bookmark in it . It doesn't seem very odd to find a bookmark in a book, because that is where bookmarks are usually found.
But...this was a different bookmark ! On the bookmark was a calendar for the year  1905! And it had the, words on it :" don't forget to buy the litre of milk! " I do hope that the teddy didn't forget the litre of milk! There may have been people very thirsty and it would be not too good if  they couldn't  have the milkshakes? I think that the teddies that were reading the book in 1905 would be just like me! Furry, happy and a huggable friend when people are feeling a little sad or painy or tired and achey! I proudly carry on the teddy tradition that has been handed down from one teddy generation to the next! That is soooo very exciting! It reminds me of the teddy motto : " Time changes, Teddies don't! "
I do have a little secret though. Just a tiny, teeny one! It doesn't hurt anyone! It doesn't even hurt myself! I will tell you my secret. But then it won't be a secret! But that doesn't matter! My small secret is ...sometimes I am reading a book and I keep reading and reading quite late into the night because i want to find out the what happens and the ending of the story! I give a few yawns, but the story is much more important than my sleep!
Well, I had better go now. I think I will get a packet of shortbread creams from the Kiosk shelves, and eat a biscuit or two whilst reading a book.
   Until next time,
           Your friend,

                      Kiosk Ted Strath
