My teddy friend Frank is a Fisherman bear! He likes Fridays, eating Fruit cake, fuschias and ferns are his favourite flowers and plants, and he likes frogs! You probably weren't interested in learning that, but I find it fascinating and fantastic!
Anyway, he has a cold! Isn't that awful? Teddies don't usually get colds, but Frank was fishing one day and he had big yellow gumboots on! The only thing was that the boots were too big for his feet! The rain came, the floods came up ( sorry, they didn't really! I was just starting to sing a childhood song!) The rain came down and entered into his gumboots! His feet got very wet! He then starting sneezing! You do want to see a teddy sneeze! He wasn't wearing any socks, so his little paws got quite soggy! He did have an umbrella but in the rain it got turned inside out! Frank now has a nasty cold! ( It sounds odd saying a nasty cold though! Colds are not nice things! You could never say : I had the most bestest, nicest and pleasantest cold in the whole wide world, universe and solar system! No, colds are nasty! That is why you always need to have a boiled egg if you feel " fluey" or sickly or just a bit off! The boiled egg MUST be accompanied by soldiers made of toast or bread to dip into the egg! These soldiers can then fight the nasty cold! They do such a great job in fighting the nasty cold germs!
Anyway, Frank the fisherman teddy is now having " fisherman friends " to help the cold! It is the ideal remedy for a fisherman! The funny thing is that he doesn't like eating fish! Have you heard of a fisher teddy that doesn't like fish meals? Oh, I'm so sorry but now if someone asks you that question, you will need to answer yes! I think it was because one day, he was squeezing some lemon juice from a lemon onto his fish meal ( hmmm....it would be a bit odd if he was squeezing a lemon and orange juice came out instead! ) and unbeknownst to him, there was a lemon pip in the lemon ( It would be even odder if there was an apple seed in a lemon, wouldn't it??! We would be famous though if we found an apple pip in a lemon! I might star on Channel Teddy's Nationwide News program! That would be exciting! ) and the pip popped out and hit him in his teddy beads eyes! It was quite a painful experience! It was very upsetting for him, as you would imagine! To calm him down, and to take away the pain from his eye where the lemon pip hit him, Doctor Teddy prescribed some lemon slice are squares and a drink of lemonade. This combination of treatment helped him well.
Well, I had best be off now. I need to disinfect my mobile phone because I have been talking by phone to Frank, and germs may come through his talking!
Until next time,
A fishermen friends lozenge a day, keeps Doctor Teddy away!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
