"I'm going to the Zoo, zoo, zoo. Would you like to come too, too, too? " Oh, that brings back soooo many very nice teddy childhood memories, when I used to watch Play School on the tv! I spent many happy teddy hours watching Play School when I was a very little teddy, and singing along to the songs and music! It was sooooo much fun! And... it was doubly exciting when my friend Big Ted appeared on the tv screen! He is a big celebrity in the teddy       part of the world you know! He is very, very famous because he stars in Play School! He must be sooo old because he seems to have starred in the show for so long, but he never seems to show his age does he?!  He hasn't got a sign of any grey hairs! Even the little teddies nowadays have big smiles on their faces when They are watching Play School and he appears on the tv screen each day. Even though he is a teddy world famous celebrity, he is such a humble teddy! He comes to all our teddy bears picnics and "teddy backs" ( which is much more funner than piggy backing !)  all the little teddies and makes them laugh! He also makes the bestest ever Strawberry and Kiwi fruit topped pavlova! I don't know who taught him how to make pavlovas, but they are yummy!  He is good mates with Jemima. Perhaps she taught him how to make the pavlovas? 

    Anyway, I am soooo excited because I am going to the Zoo! I have been very busy doing some knitting in preparation for the trip. Hmmm... you may be wondering why I am knitting to prepare for my Zoo trip? Well, it is because I heard on the teddy-vine ( the teddy version of the grape -vine, and much more reliable! ) , that Garreth the Giraffe has a very bad sore throat!  Giraffes have very long necks and having a sore throat must be soooo painful for him! I am knitting a blue, red, green  and yellow coloured scarf for him to wear to try to warm up his throat and ease his soreness. I am going to give it to him when I visit him at the zoo. 

  I have also bought a big tin of pineapple pieces. I know what you are now thinking ! I know that you are wondering why I am taking a big tin of pineapple pieces to the zoo. I think I had better explain why!   Elsie and Edgar Echidnas live at the zoo with their three little children called Egbert, Elsa and Eddie. They are attending a fancy dress party next week, and put out a request on "Ted/animal book" ( the Teddy and animal equivalent of Facebook)  asking if anyone could help them with suggestions on costumes to wear. I am taking pineapple pieces to place on the spikes on their backs! I think they will look very funny and cute wandering around with pineapple pieces on their backs, don't you think?! And... when the party is over, they can enjoy eating the pineapples! 

   I just have to visit the pretty butterfly house at the zoo! The butterflies there are sooo colourfully nice! I will let them sit on my teddy nose, even if they make my eyes go cross eyed as I look at them sitting there! I will be very,very quiet and not make too much noise! I wouldn't want to scare them! I like butterflies that flutter by! 

 Well, I had better go now and finish my zoo trip preparations! I think I will eat a chocolate Freddo frog and  a Caramello Koala, because I am sure I will see frogs and koalas at the Zoo.
