Hellooooo everyone! I hope that you are enjoying watching Summertime sports  on the tv! I am!! In fact ( yes, just like a fact from an encyclopaedia! But did you know that encyclopaedia brittanica is no longer publishing hard copy editions of their encyclopaedias anymore ?! The " official" reason is that all the information can now we found on the internet, and also everything with technology  keeps changing so quickly so it is better to update with facts online. But...I will tell you what the "real" reason is! It is...Isabella the injured teddy was enjoying a nice cup of tea one day and a very yummy iced  jam doughnut ! The doughnut was the type that when you bite into one side of the doughnut, the jam comes out the other side! It is a bit messy when jam gets stuck in our teddy fur but we just need to accept that it is a consequence of the deliciousness of eating jam doughnuts! Anyway, Isabella was eating her doughnut and drinking her cup of tea, when all of a sudden the mobile phone rang! The sound of the phone ringing set off a mini earthquake, and her encyclopaedia brittanica books fell off the shelf and one landed on her paw! Ouch!! She was not very happy! In fact  ( another fact, this time sponsored by fact finders, the fact finding factual factoring company! ) she was very sore! She decided to lodge a complaint encyclopaedia brittanica, on the grounds that their books should have an inbuilt mechanism that prevents them falling onto teddy paws if there is an earthquake. The result was a HUGE apology by the company and they sent her some bright colourful gerberas to cheer her up and make her sore paw feel better. Shortly after that, the company announced that they were no longer printing their books! Well, putting two and two together plus one, dividing by eight and multiplying by six,( I am quite good at maths! ) the answer is that it was a result of Isabella's injury! They didn't want the same thing to happen again! ) ... I can't remember what the fact was! It must have been something to do with Summertime!
Oh yes! I am just about to head out and play some tennis! My teddy friend, Mr. Oliver and I are playing mixed doubles with the Tennis Twin teddies, Tina and Trixie! It will be lots of fun! It doesn't matter who wins! We all end up laughing rather than actually playing the game very well! The best part is after the match when we all go and have double scoop ice creams in cones! I like having peach flavoured ice cream.
Well, I have to go now...an afternoon of tennis awaits me!
 Until next time,
     Beware of a falling book
Try out a new recipe, it is fun to cook!
Try to keep out of the sun on a hot day.
If it is your birthday, I will hip hip hooray!
          Your friend .
