La la la...Oh, I didn't see you there! I am just practising my singing voice! Yes, I am just practicing for the "Carols by Candlelight" program! I am soooo excited! My teddy friends and I were invited to attend the night! And...what is even more "funner" is that we have been given an extra special, super duper important, very significant role to play that night! Can I tell you what it is? I really would like to tell you! It is a little bit top secret, but if you can promise to keep it under your top hat, beret, cap, sombrero, helmet or akubra... I will tell you! All of us teddies are going to go and say " hello" to the little babies that are attending the night, and give them a HUGE teddy smile! Isn't that great?! I am sooo happy about performing that role! I am also practising too my singing voice just in case a member of the choir suddenly faints from excitement, or from heat exhaustion, or from blood pressure concerns ( not that I want them to faint! ) and then they may need me to fill in as an understudy!
The only thing is, that the other day, I swallowed a fly! It wasn't too nice at all! It all happened because I woke up with a sore throat. Then I had a frog in my throat! And the frog decided to eat a fly, and so Freddie the fly entered my mouth that way! It was not a very nice experience ! I suppose though that it is better than having a giraffe in your throat!
Do you like watching Carols by Candlelight? I do! I have been invited to attend it in " teddy person" this year but...I usually get my hidden fluffy pillow, snuggle into my comfy armchair, put the pillow at my back, then start watching and singing along with the songs! Perhaps you may have heard my melodious singing voice when you were inside, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus that night? I hope that you are planning to leave some food out for him and his reindeers! It is a very little known fact that Rodney and Ruby the " reindeer looking after" teddies accompany the reindeers on the trips! Some of the reindeers get a little homesick, when travelling so far away from their North Pole home. Rodney and Ruby come along and talk with the reindeers and keep them company if they feel lonely. They are very chatty teddies, and make the reindeers laugh!
Oh, and I also always, every time, each year ( except for one year, when I had a " teddy senior moment" ! ) always cook teddy Christmas cookies for Santa, the reindeers and Ruby and Rodney! I must confess though...I keep some for myself! They are yummy! I took some pictures of them for you, which I will put on the bottom of this page!
Well, I had best be off now to do some singing in the shower!
Until next time,
Carol singing is lots of fun!
It doesn't matter if the weather is raining of there is sun!
Anyone can sing a song each day.
Some people even sing whilst the piano they play!
Your friend,
Kiosk Strath Ted.
