I feel in a bit of a " singy" mood today! "Old MacDonald had a farm...E I E I O!! " Hmm...why do we need to spell out the vowels? I now have a bit of a puzzled teddy brain because now I am wondering why the vowels E and I are special, and I feel soooo sad for the letters A, O and U!! They must feel quite forlorn that no one says their name ! Perhaps from now on when I bite into an apple I will say : "Hello Mr. A" and then when I hear the hoot of an owl ( which scares me a little, particularly at night time! ) I will say: " Good evening, Mr. O" . Of course, I must never leave out Mr. U and will give a cheery greeting to the letter whenever I put up my umbrella. ( I don't put up my umbrella very often though! Only if there is a hole in the Kiosk roof! ) It would be good if a teddy bear could also be a part of Old MacDonalds farm! The song lines could be : "With a bear hug here...And a bear hug there...here a teddy...there a teddy... everywhere a teddy, teddy...Old MacDonald had a farm,...E I E I O!! "
I feel a little bit silly! I have just been talking to you in the previous paragraph and my concern about Mr. O was unwarranted! Mr O was included! Oh well, I will just blame it on a teddy seniors moment? !
I have just had the most fantastic plan! I am going to throw a teddies party for the letters A and U! I will bring items from the Kiosk, and all my teddy friends will be invited! We will spread a-pricot jam on bread and butter, and eat lots of a-rnotts biscuits. We can enjoy eating bowls of U -ncle Toby's cereals and ... Oh, that has just got me worried! Who is Uncle Toby?! Does it mean that I will become his nephew if I eat his cereal? Should I send a birthday card to him on his birthday, because when your family member has a birthday, you ALWAYS send a card ( unless you forget, and then you feel embarrassed , but it is okay because you can send them a belated birthday card! ) I wonder if Uncle Toby plays bowls? I don't know why, but I just imagine that he would like to play bowls and go fishing and perhaps wear a top hat? And he would definitely be a gentleman and open the doors for ladies!
Anyway, it will be a fun teddies party, and we will all try saying the alphabet backwards! It will be sooo much fun! I hope that no balloons burst! I like balloons but not when they burst!
Well,I had better be off now. I need to check and see if the Kiosk sells "alphabet soup" !
Until next time,
A farm has cows and sheep
Sometimes frogs that leap!
Cute little chickens too
And sometimes a talking cockatoo!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
