Yippee! I am sooo happy! The cricket season has begun! AFL footy is good, but really, truly, completely and totally ( perhaps? ) I like cricket better! I am an official teddy bear member of "TEWCAS" club! Isn't that soooo exciting?! It is a very elite club to be a member of! As soon as a little young teddy or an older teddy decides that they would like to be a member of the club, they need to write their details on an application form, and sign it with a paw print! Then they have to wait a lengthy waiting time until their submission is approved. The usual wait is an hour. Each of the sixty minutes seems sooo long. The wait is worth it in the end though!
Oh, perhaps you are wondering what the letters stand for? They represent : " Teddies Enjoy Watching Cricket All Season "!! We make cheese and tomato sandwiches, the we sit in front of the tv and enjoy watching the cricketers bowling and batting! But, I must warn you about something! If a batsman is on 99 runs, you must never, ever take a bite of your sandwich whilst the bowler is bowling the ball! The batsman may hear you taking a bite of your sandwich...then they would lose concentration ! I would not want to be the teddy that causes the batsman to go out! I would feel soooo embarrassed! Also, if the batsman hits the cricket ball high up in the air, when the fielder is running to catch it, you must open your mouth wide open! Apparently there has been scientific test studies done that have concluded that if another person opens their mouth very wide when another person is trying to catch the ball, 99 out 100 times, the ball will be caught.( There is always though the chance that the time is the one out of 100 time! )
Did you know that the teddies have their own official cricket team? They are called the " TaussiesCraussies". It stands for Teddy -Australians Cricketers -Australians. Go Aussies go!! Instead of the " baggy green" cap, the teddy cricketers wear hats with a pom-pom on top! They look quite cute! There are even replicas that young teddies proudly  wear so that they look like the other  cricketers!
Well,I had best be getting ready now for the upcoming cricket matches. Perhaps I will practise throwing up and catching eggs, to reflect cricket balls.
   Until next time.
       Cricket is here
       Let's give a cheer!
       Barrack loudly for your team
Do you like strawberries and cream?
  Your friend,
      Kiosk Ted Strath,
