It's footy time! It's footy time! Hooray! Hooray! I am soooo excited that i am back to watching the footy again! I just have a little, tiniest, minutest wish though. I wishfully wish that this wish would be a bigger wish and explode into a gigantic wish turns into reality! Would you wish to hear about my wish? I do wish to tell you, so I will ! I would like...a teddy team to play in the AFL ! It would be soooooo much fun to watch the teddy team come out and play against Collingwood, or Essendon or Carlton, and I have the ideal colours of their jumpers! The teddies could wear stripes of green, orange, blue, yellow, purple, black, pink, and red, with big white polka dots! That means, every teddie's favourite colours would be represented so everyone would be happy! A happy teddy team means a good footy playing contest!
And... at quarter and third quarter time, they could eat Arnotts teddy bear biscuits to keep their energy up! Did you know that teddie's are allergic to orange juice? You didn't? It is a very little known fact! It all began when little Sonia the sickly teddy was given a drink of orange juice, and told that it would help her to feel better. It didn't make her better! Instead, little pictures of bird cages appeared on her arms! She was so surprised! Doctor Teddy to the rescue to explain the problem! Apparently, in some people drinking orange juice causes hives to appear ( supposedly they look like bee hives? I haven't actually seen them in real life) Well, when teddies drink orange juice, instead of their being hives where bees live appearing on their fur, they instead have little pictures of bird cages where birds live! Sooo... no teddies now want to drink orange juice!
There might be a little problem though with a teddy team playing in the AFL. I have just mentioned the reason! We are a little bit little! We can't kick too far and can't leap up as high in the air to take a mark! But we can run, hop and jump faster than any other AFL player! And we display exceptional sportsbearmanship! We always shake our footy opponents hand before and after the match , wish them a good match, and give a big teddy smile to them!
Oh, would you like to hear the very sad story about Benjamin the banner bear? You probably wouldn't like to because it involves pain, but you are nice probably a bit curious! Benjamin makes the banners for the footy teddies to run through! Well, one day just after he had got the big banner standing upright in the air, awaiting the footy teddies to come running through the banner, a not very nice thing happened! A colourful butterfly came along, flew into the banner, and the banner landed on top of Benjamin! Ouchity ouch! He was a sore little teddy! He would have broken his hip, if he had a hip bone, but teddies don't have bones, so he didn't break his hip! He was very sore though! Doctor Teddy prescribed bearanadol for the pain. ( The teddy equivalent of paradol) and NO orange juice!
Well,I had best go now! I need to read up on the latest footy news!
Until next time,
Go teddies teams! Win the premiership cup!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
