Oh! Oh! I was soooooo scared! I really, really was! I hid under the Kiosk chair! I felt quite quivery inside. It is not nice to feel like that you know! I had goosebumps! No, I didn't really! I am not goose, or a turkey or a chicken and I am definitely not a sparrow! I am a teddy, and I have teddy fur! So, I didn't have goosebumps! But I felt like I did have. I suppose you are wondering what made me feel so concerned, worried, shaky and just a tiny bit perturbed? I will tell you!
One night last week, there was a hugely huge ( which means that it was very, very big! ) storm! There was hail, lightning, thunder, torrential rain, and the skies were black! ( I must not exaggerate too much though. It was night time, so of course the skies were black! It would have been quite funny if the sun was shining at midnight! That would have made me giggle! I would have laughed and laughed, and perhaps then I wouldn't have been so scared! It is funny when you start to giggle sometimes, and then you can't stop giggling! Anything that happens then just makes you want to giggle more! It is quite funny! ) Anyway, it was a really big storm! And I wasn't giggling when that happened! Perhaps I should have borrowed the "Mr. Funny" or "Mr. Bounce " or "Mr. Tickle" story books from Lillian the librarian teddy, beforehand! Reading the books would have made me laugh! But, I didn't know that the storm was going to arrive ! Lillian is away on holidays anyway! She is visiting Goldilocks and the three bears. Oh, I must mention that I am not related to the three bears. I am quite good friends with them though, as they come to all the teddy parties that are held. They bring with them big bowls of porridge. Goldilocks always attends too. She has nice blonde hair, and it goes well with the brown colour of the bears fur. They all live quite happily together now. Goldilocks' great, great grandmother had a secret family recipe for porridge. Goldilocks now cooks this family porridge every morning for the bears so there is plenty to go around.
Well, I did get though the storm! Whilst hiding under the chair, I started singing. Singing always calms me down! I sang and sang, to try to raise my voice over the top of the storm noise. I got a sore throat though! I listened so very hard but I couldn't hear any birds singing outdoors. I do hope that they are okay! It would be sooo scary for them to see and hear the lightning and thunder. It would be a nice light and sound show, but I don't think that it is what they enjoy watching. Perhaps if they had some popcorn, fairy floss and Jaffas, they could settle into a comfy position on a branch and watch the show?
Well, I had best go and watch the weather forecast now and see if any storms are approaching! I need to be prepared!
Until next time,
Don't hide under the bed if a storm comes. You might bump your head! Ouch!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
