Ouchy ouch! Double ouch! I have a sore thumb! Well, really it is more like a burnt thumb! It is very red you know, which is extra not good, because it is never a nice sight to see a brown bear with one red finger! It does look quite strange! But... it is true! I have a very burnt, painful, aching, and a teensy large bit sore! Would you like to know why my thumb is that way? You are all very caring, sympathetic readers of my grand adventures so I am positively sure that you would like me to tell you!
Well, even though it is officially Springtime now, the overnight temperatures do drop down low and it does get a bit chilly on the Kiosk! I do have a patchwork quilt rug that I put over my teddy knees to keep them warm, but sometimes my knees decide that they want to do a little knee knocking dance and tune, on very cold lights! They are quite melodious songs that my knees play!
Anyway, the other night, I was sooooo cold that I decided that I needed to make myself some nice hot buttered toast to eat and warm myself up. I put the bread into the toaster and waited for it to "pop" up. Whilst I was waiting for the pop action, I started to have a little daydream. It was a very happy dream, not a sad dream, even though it was not daytime, it was evening time, so I suppose it could have been classified as an eveningdream, and not a daydream but on the other hand... I think this is getting too confusing for my teddy brain! I was daydreaming, then got quite startled when I awoke from my daydream by the sound of the toast appearing! I got such a surprise that I waved my teddy paws in the air, reached out... and accidentally touched the toaster! Ouch! It was soooooo hot! I burnt my teddy paw thumb! But... I didn't want to miss out on eating my hot toast, so I quickly buttered my toast, tried to ignore the pain, then ate my toast, avoiding using my teddy paw thumb! Then, I put it under cold water to try to take away the pain! I hope it feels better very soon!
Hmm... the other day, my teddy friend said she had "butterflies in her stomach" ! Doesn't that sound quite odd to you?! I wouldn't want to swallow butterflies! They are very pretty coloured insects, and they would do happy dances inside you, and it would kind of be fun to imagine them flying about your body BUT I still am not convinced that I would like them inside me! I think it would be quite a funny sensation to have butterflies inside yourself, and anyway I am ticklish, and they may decide to tickle me! Then I might start laughing when people visited the Kiosk to buy products, and they would think it quite strange to see me, the giggling Kiosk Ted Strath! No! Butterflies, please stay away!
Well, I had better go and rest my poor burnt thumb now!
Until next time,
Remember, hot toast on a cold night is the bestest snack to enjoy eating!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath!
