I really like honey! I do you, you know! I sometimes have honey on my toast for breakfast, and one time I spread it on some scones. When I have had a bad croaky throat ( Yes, Kermit's great grandfather's, cousin's, brother's, niece's, best friend's, daughter who is called Florence the Frog, decided to leap into my throat! It wasn't a very nice time! My throat was sooo sore!) , I have had honey in my hot water drink to try to soothe my throat. But...the other day, I was informed that I was a "sticky beak". Hmmm....teddies don't have beaks! We have noses and mouths but not beaks! And, I always wash and dry my sticky mouth with a flannel and a towel after I enjoy having honey! Sometimes I just don't understand what is being said!
The other day, there was a big deluge of rain when a storm erupted outside! Please don't be concerned because I am not scared of storms! I just grab a nice multicoloured rug, pour out a nice cup of Twinings tea, and snuggle myself into my comfy kiosk chair and wait for the storm to ease. But...the other day when the storm hit, I was speaking on the phone with Petunia the Phone talking teddy. We know the rules that you must never, ever be on the phone when a storm hits, so our phone conversation came to a very abrupt ending! But, just before Petunia said a quick goodbye, she quickly said: " it's raining , it's pouring, the old man is snoring, he went to bed, and bumped his head and couldn't get up in the morning!" Then she put the phone down! This left me sooo puzzled! I felt soooo sorry for the elderly man! I do hope that he had some Panamax tablets to ease his headaches from bumping his head! It must have been very painful, so much that he had to have a sleep- in the following morning! I do hope that his wife made some nice homemade chicken soup for him. Chicken soup makes you feel much better if you are feeling a bit poorly! I hope there were no holes in the roof of their house when the rain fell, or else they would have had puddles of water invading their kitchen, dining and living room areas! And then the man's wife may have slipped and bumped her head too! Then they would both have big bumps on their head!
Well, I have just looked outside and seen the very sunny sunshine weather so I won't have to worry about bumping my head today! I think I might go and eat some jam tarts, and not worry about being called a sticky beak. Or I could go and ring up Celeste the chatter on the phone and catch up on all the news...
Until next time,
If a storm arrives, put on a helmet to protect your head!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
