Hello everyone! It is Masterchef Ted reporting here to say : "Bon Appetite" Oh, don't worry! I have not changed my nationality to French ! I am still an Aussie teddy, it is just that I was just a teeny bit of a " show off" by saying " Happy eating! " in French! I am not really showing off...well perhaps I am a little bit...but on the other paw hand I like eating French fries so perhaps I have inherited a touch of French ancestry in my teddy bear family tree? On another paw hand, I do NOT like eating frogs legs! I do like chocolate and strawberry jam croissants! They are soooo yummy! It is a very nice flavour of croissant. The jam though makes them a bit sticky! My French teddy friend called Monsieur Marmaduke the Second ( His grandteddy was Monsieur Marmaduke the First ) makes the bestest ever chocolate and strawberry jam croissants! He puts very, very hot jam into the croissants! It burns my tongue just a tiny bit, but the jam tastes so very " jammy" ! The chocolate melts into the jam and creates a very nice taste! Some French teddies have cappuccinos with their croissants but I prefer a nice cup of Twinings English Breakfast tea!
Anyway, I haven't told you why I am a chef teddy today! I will tell you now. Today I baked a cake! It doesn't matter if a bit of the egg shell accidentally fell into the mixture does it? It just adds more texture I think. Also, a black topping on the cake looks quite stylish don't you think? It looks better than just a lightly coloured brown,I think! It does leave a little bit of a crunchy flavour in your mouth, but it is quite an overall nice taste! Hmm...I do have to admit that it wasn't intentional! I have been having a busy day! I was doing a lot of chatting on my mobile ted phone. Also, I decided to do some dancing to a disco dancing tune that I heard on the radio. When you hear jazzy tunes, it gets your paw toes tapping and you just really need to start dancing! Anyway, I was feeling a tiny bit tired. I put the cake into the oven to cook, then decided to just have a five minutes nap. Hmmm... no it wasn't my fault that the smoke alarm went off! It was the cake's fault! I woke up with a bit of a shock! I rushed to get the cake out of the oven, and it was still edible, eatable and quite tasty! There was NO smoke damage to the Kiosk either! Perhaps I am not a Masterchef Ted after all?!
Well, I had best be off now. I am going to make some lamingtons...and get covered in coconut!
Until next time,
Cooking is lots of fun!
The best part is eating after the cooking is done!
Throw the ingredients into a bowl of pan
Put an apron on and smile as wide as you can!
Your friend,
Kiosk Ted Strath
